“Really lovely stay. Nice welcome pack ( thank you) . We brought my elderly mother who has mobility issues and it was perfect for her, plenty of space to mobilise with her walker and she was able to use the shower. Anna and Reece were happy to provide extra pillows for her which ensured home from home comfort. The cottage was peaceful and private and we heard the owls at night. Lots to do and see in the local area without driving for miles . Thank you Anna and Reece.”

Spacious and airy and lots of those small touches that make a big difference from the welcome pack, local walks printed, to brilliant walk in wardrobe space. “If you’re considering booking, just do it - this accommodation is luxurious and perfect. Every detail has been considered. Everything you could possibly need or wish for. (There was even a magnifying mirror which most 4/5 star hotels forget.) The welcome pack was amazing. Beautiful fresh bread, wine, milk, biscuits.. even bowls, treats and towels for the dogs. The space is better than the photos. The bedrooms are spacious, each with a walk in wardrobe and hairdryer. The bed linens made you feel as though you were in a suite in the Savoy! The en-suite bathrooms were spotless. Even with luxury bamboo toilet roll. The kitchen had everything you could want or need. With it being January we couldn’t take advantage of the outdoor area but could imagine sitting out for breakfast in the summer, or a glass of wine late evening. We enjoyed our short stay. It was the perfect chill out weekend.”

“This is the most perfect cottage for recharging. It is quiet and peaceful situated in a lovely village with good links to everything Yorkshire has to offer. “The cottage is absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean and in the most gorgeous location. The kitchen is really well equipped, if you want to cook. The outside space is a huge bonus and the BBQ and BBQ tools provided are really thoughtful. Reece popped out to say hi when we arrived and was super friendly and helpful regarding local pubs and recommendations for food. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer break in this gorgeous part of the world and we are already looking at trying to go back later this year. “The Owlets is a gorgeous converted barn that has been renovated to a very high standard. The decor is beautiful throughout and the garden is a sun trap, even in early March! There was a lovely selection of human and doggie treats provided on arrival. The cottage had everything we needed and was warm and cosy. The garden is completely fenced in which was great for the dog, and having everything on one level was perfect for my elderly parents. The village is small and pretty with a great tea room a couple of minutes down the road. All in all, we'd very much like to visit again.”

The place is even nicer in person than in the pictures, all was spotlessly clean and everything you could need was available. Despite being next to another house and in a village, the place feels private and secluded. The village itself is lovely and quiet, even in peak summer, and has great amenities.”
